PC + Photography

well the piece of technology that it´s almost essential in our student´s life is the laptop. I mean I can not imagine my life without it. It´s my agenda, my calendar, it´s where i keep all my photo memories and all my work for the university. I got it 2008. It was a birthday gift and since then I use it every single day. So I hope never slolen or broke cause that will be terrible por me. Actually my relationship with him it´s so close that I even named it. Her name is PARIS. If you´re thinking that i´m crazy, well yes, maybe it´s too much, but it´s just that this advice is my best friend, my late night partner.
Another piece that I recently bought it´s a really good camera. I really like photography, but I had no good camera, so finally I can brought one and it´s really cool. Now I just have to learn how to use it, cause it has too many functions for differents situaations. But the interesting part about photography it´s that I like to take photos but I dont´n really like been photographed, I don´t now maybe I still think that the camara can take my soul away jajaja.

If you want to study architecture, please remains this...

Thinking in the skills that one student of architecture must have, I realice that you have to be a Little bit crazy for study this. I mean, is not that you have to had a mental illness but you must be willing to loose your personal life, family celebrations and sometimes friends. Because this carreer demans from you a lot lot lot of time. So for that reason, learning to administrate the time properly is fundamental for organice your day and try to get your goals. Besides, a person who decided to study architecture, needs to have perceverance and a big tolerance to failed, cause every week you have to prove your creativity and be able to explain your project´s ideas. Another aspects that is really important, is learning to work in groups, you have to be tolerant with the other´s ideas and try to reach an agreement.
About the University tools, I can said that maybe are not enough, especially en technological terms. The teachers do not realice that this is 21st century and we need to be introduced in the new era, using software to Project ours ideas. In that sense I felt that we are at a disadvantage in relation with others architectural schools. But the good part is that the University of Chile maintains its reputation as one of the best architectural school of the country so finding a job after finished the studies it´s more simple for us. (well I hope so)

hello guys I´m back and this week I´m going to present you one of my favorites web sites related with architecture and desing. This page is Yanko Design . This web magazine was founded in 2002 and its made by colaborators in many countries arround the world, like Japan, Australia, United States, India and China. The site is about technology, industrial design, fashion, architecture and sometimes advertising. So is more than just architecture.In fact, I think the web has been choose like one of the most read blogs.The vocation of the site is to show new designs, the innovation whith common objects and the work of new designers arround the world. About the architecture, this site have a section where shows new architecs besides the most recognized ones. Another feature of the web site is that it is currently actualized so it´s always fun to watch new stuff. Personally I visit the site every week, like three times at minimum. So I highly recomented it and I promese that you will find some inspiration for your own projects or some easy idea to reproduces to decorate your home.
